Financial Peace Workshop in Swing

Cutting down on spending is one clear way to clean up personal financial problems, but a local workshop is offering multiple solutions to common money woes.

“Financial Peace University is a 9-week course taught by Dave Ramsey on DVD,” said Public Relations Senior Coordinator Meg Grunke. “ FPU teaches families and individuals common-sense financial principles so they are able to free themselves of debt and build lasting wealth.”

Financial Peace University classes began at Valley Grove Baptist Church Jan. 13. and is lead by a volunteer coordinator.

Lessons include topics such as budgeting, relationships and money, and dumping debt. After each lesson there is a small group discussion where attendees focus on financial accountability and encouragement.
