Seymour Eagle standout wrestler Grant Wallen puts his opponent on the mat.(The Herald/ Lee Ramsey)

The Seymour Eagle wrestling team fell one step short of their goal but still had a great season.

It was a season to be very proud of as the Eagles won the IMAC and finished runner-up in the County and Region.

After losing to Pigeon Forge 45-21 in the county tournament and finishing runner-up, the Eagles were edged out by Maryville 35-33 in the Region tournament at Seymour and finished runner-up as Maryville will move on to the State Tournament.
