South Knox has a truly unique history and has been home to several celebrities and notable people.

Actors such as David Keith, John Cullum, Johnny Knoxville and cartoonist Darby Conley are just a few.

Legendary author, Cormac McCarthy whose real name is unknown hails from South Knox and the writer spent a great portion of his life in the area.
