Seymour and surrounding areas were hit with a floodgate of rain this week and numerous safety concerns arose as a result.
“Boyds Creek is not over the road yet, but it could go that way if it keeps coming,” said Seymour Volunteer Fire Department Chief Kevin Nunn.
Nunn advised drivers to not drive through any water, regardless of its perceived depth.
“It only takes one inch of water under the undercarriage of a car to float it down the road,” he explained.
