As opponents who claim the Our Smokies, Our Future Visioning Process is a local arm of Agenda 21 further research the subject, an unsigned resolution continues to loom.

The resolution in question is HJR 587, which was written to ban any Agenda 21 initiatives to operate within the State of Tennessee, stated the United Nations Agenda 21 is being covertly pushed into local communities throughout the United States of America through the International Council of Local Environmental Initiatives through local “sustainable development” polices.

According to OSOF opponents such as Tea Party Chairman Steve Osborn, Pastor Rob Bremer, and retired Lenient-Colonel Marcus Hayes, this is exactly what the Visioning Process is attempting to do in the local area and the resolution could have eased some of their concerns.
