Seymour residents were in shock as a mysterious mass bird kill took place on Boyd’s Creek Hwy near Dogwood Hills Subdivision Dec. 30 at 1:15 p.m.

And while the investigation continues no new information as been released as of Jan. 8.

“There were approximately 300 Starlings and Red Winged Black birds that suddenly hit the ground along Boyd’s Creek with many of the dead birds laying in the field and along the roadside,” explained John Parsons, a resident who was at the scene. “At first I just thought what could have done this because these birds were flying in patterns as a flock and then just hit the ground in basically the same pattern.”
