As the investigation into the conflict driven by various perceptions of the Sevier County Visioning Process Our Smokies, Our Future continues to be met with avoidance for steering committee members, the differences in local media coverage provided revealing results to opponents.

“Although I see The Press Mountain’s Editor Stan Voit as trying to be a fair commentator, he made it clear in his column following the Pigeon Forge summit that he too considers opponents as folks who should be ignored,” said Sevier County Tea Party Chairman Steve Osborn. “That is his editorial right to say so even though he’s been shown the facilitator Gianni Longo has ties to the United Nations.”

Osborn added the disparity in coverage indicates Voit fails to see the real threat to the rights of the private property owners.
