As colder weather finally takes ahold of Seymour, many residents are preparing to fight the influenza viruses that usually runs rampant this time of year.
As part of an effort of prevention the UT After Hours Clinic is administering flu shots for a rate of $25 an hour.
“I highly recommend getting the influenza vaccination,” said UT After Hours Clinic Office Manager Kendra Thomas. “You can be contagious with the flu for two days before you even start to show symptoms.”
Although many people choose not to get a flu vaccination because they believe it will make them ill, Thomas was quick to clear-up some common misconceptions.
