Shortly after winning their district rival game against South-Doyle the Lady Eagles basketball team took care of business by winning a non- district game against the Oliver Springs Lady Bobcats 62-51at Seymour.The Lady Bobcats have a good program. They recently beat William Blount.
Oliver Springs gave Seymour fits in the backcourt with their good guard play. When several Lady Eagles got in foul trouble they fell behind by as many as 14 points.
The Lady Eagles (6-2, 1-0 in District 2-AAA) didn’t throw in the towel however as they came storming back under the leadership of senior Kasey Norman who led the team with 22 points. She was followed closely by standout posts Mariah Flynn and Victoria Nelson who were also in double digits.
