The Tennessee Department of Transportation will hold a public hearing to gather input on the proposed James White Parkway Extension in Knoxville.
The hearing will be held Dec. 6 at South-Doyle Middle School and begin at 5 p.m.
As part of the purpose of the hearing TDOT wants to see how much of the public supports the extension and how many are opposed.
“The main thing here is that we want to get as many comments from the public as possible to see if the community wants this project built,” said TDOT Communications Officer Mark Nagi. “Very often I think there is a misconception that there is a hearing or a meeting and construction will begin shortly. That isn’t the case.”... read the rest of the story by Subscribing now.
