The Seymour Eagle wrestling team coached by Alex Cate opened the 2012-13 season with a dual win over William Blount 52-30 in Maryville.

After falling behind 18-10 to the Governors, Seymour came charging back winning 6 of the last 8 matches to nail down the win.

Seymour’s David Hamilton at 170 pounds and Brian Hinz at 195 pounds got the Eagles started on the right foot before temporarily stumbling a bit.

After their downward spiral, Drew Cannon started the Eagles on their way up again by winning the 285 pound match.  Kevin Lambson 106 pounds, John McCarrell 113 pounds, Chris Hinshaw 120 pounds and Ethan Jones 126 pounds completed the winning run.
