After winning a highly contested primary against incumbent Richard Montgomery and then left unchallenged in the General Election, Dale Carr has been working steadily as he prepares to assume office Jan 8.

“I have assumed certain responsibilities as the State Representative of the 12th District of Sevier County,” he said. “I will be traveling back and forth to Nashville for the next month until January, and then I will be in Nashville every week until around May, when session ends.”

Eager to get started, Carr has specific goals in mind.

“Three of my goals are keeping the Federal Government at bay on the health care issues, increased funding for Sevier County Schools and the expansion of infrastructure for transportation in Sevier County.”
