An uncovered sewer grate in the parking lot of Macon Ln. Crossing Shopping Center is posing a failing danger to residents.

The sewer grate is on the opposite side of the parking lot of Kroger and around the back side of building.

Employees of the nearby World Finance Corporate said the sewer grate has been missing since they opened their business about one year ago, but it had previously been covered by a wood pallet.

The wooden pallet is nowhere in sight of the opening.
