The Seymour Eagle basketball team lost their home opener against Loudon by a score of 61-59 in a nail biter. The game was played as a fundraiser in the annual Hall of Champions.

The Eagles started the game red hot as they took a 9-0 lead after three goals by senior standout D. J. Griffin.

The Redskins finally scored with 3:20 to go in the 1st quarter and closed the gap to 11-7 at the end of the quarter.
