The driver who is suspected to have caused the deaths of two and injured over a dozen others in the tragic Sept. 16 Cedar Grove Baptist Church crash has been indicted.
Tyler James Schaeffer, 21, was charged with 36 counts by a grand jury in the Sevier County Criminal Court.
Of the charges are for unlawfully, feloniously and recklessly killing Jeffery K. Trusssell and Courtney J. Kaliszewski.
Trussell,45, was the youth pastor who was driving the church, which was full of church members returning from a recreational trip, with the vehicle was struck by Schaeffer’s car on Chapman Hwy. near Mt. Zion Hill Rd.
