Kirby J. Burton has been promoted to Senior Vice President and Chief Risk Officer at Mountain National Bank.

Burton, is an honor graduate of West Virginia Wesleyan College majoring in Finance and Government.

He began his career in 1993 as an Examiner with the FDIC and earned a dual commission in both regulatory compliance and safety and soundness acting as Examiner-in-Charge with the FDIC for numerous examinations until 2005.

Burton also served as Engagement Manager in the Financial Institution Group of Crowe Horwath until 2006 when he returned to the FDIC as an Examiner.
