Perhaps one of the most anticipated annual community events in Seymour, the Christmas Parade has undergone some changes this year.
At the organizational meeting held for the event Nov. 15 members of the Seymour Volunteer Fire Department discussed numerous aspects of the parade as they are now sponsoring it.
Marty and Paul Hamilton, owners of the now defunct Tri-County News, both of whom were formally involved in the parade, have fully passed the buck to SVFD.
“Marty and Paul turned it over to the fire department and are no longer involved,” confirmed Rebecka Hill of the South-Knox/ Seymour Chamber of Commerce.
