With Thanksgiving just around the corner many area residents are coming together help the feed the less fortunate during the holiday season.
Students and employees of the Sevier County School System recently donated 2,400 boxes of stuffing and $2,100 to the Sevier County Food Ministry.
“The food drive was basically an effort on the part of the school system which is geared toward providing much needed food in the area,” said Sevier County Schools Assistant Superintendent Debra Cline. “This is a humanitarian effort and an example the community joining together.”
Sevier County Food Ministry Director Steve Streibig said he was very appreciative of the donations efforts of school system.
