After Mitt Romney’s defeat in the Presidential Election, the implementation of the socialist-style Affordable Healthcare Act is emanate.
To explain the upcoming changes US Representative Phil Roe (R-TN), who opposes the legislation, lent his insight to some of the more frightful parts of the law.
“There are 20 new or increased taxes included in the Affordable Care Act,” Roe explained. “There will be a $60.1 billion tax on all private health insurers. This tax is slated to take effect in 2014 and phase in gradually until 2018 for firms making less than $50 million in profits. For private insurers making more than $50 million the tax is fully-imposed in 2014.”
