The South-Doyle Cherokee’s state title hopes ended last Friday night as the West Rebels turned the lights out with a 27-7 win on their home field n the first round of the Class 5A state playoffs.

The Cherokee’s (7-4) once powerful offense was shut down by the Rebels as they allowed only 37 yards offense and 4 first downs.

West got on the board first midway through the first quarter as Ryan Francis took the ball 33 yards on a brilliant run for the first touchdown of the game.  West led 7-0 after the PAT.
