Endangering the property and lives of many residents, an extensive fire broke out on Bluff Mountain Nov. 4. Several Sevier County fire crews including the Seymour Volunteer Fire Department responded to the call.

The fire spread across 20 acres and threatened five homes. Crews worked to keep the flames from reaching the houses.

Due to the heaviness of smoke authorities were forced to evacuate many nearby residents. Also, reporters and photographers were not allowed to be close to the scene.
