By embracing fun and encouraging learning, a teacher at Seymour Primary School is opening new doors for her students.

Kindergarten teacher Sherry Michaels has been teaching for the past 16 years and thrives on teaching her students to read.

“You get to see them at five years old when they learn their letters,” she said. “By the end of the school year they are putting their sounds together and making words. You’ve opened up a whole new world to them.”
