While budgetary restraints are always a major consideration for educational administrators, ensuring the quality of teaching doesn’t decrease with diminished pay rates is also a pressing matter.
Sevier County Director Schools Dr. Jack Parton said utilizing specialized contracts that permit teachers to work a segment of the year while receiving a proportional salary is part of an effort to achieving this goal.
