Being a member of the Seymour Volunteer Fire Department is a job not many would take lightly, but one of the team’s newest members has been involved in rescue services since childhood.

April Heatherly, a member of the SVFD for the past two years, is an EMT by profession.

“Seymour gets a lot more medical calls than fire calls,” she explained, “most calls range from anything involving falling off a house to a hurt big toe.”
