Ever since the Sept. 16 fiery crash on Chapman Hwy. near Zion Hill Rd., the Seymour community has mourned the losses of the resulting fatalities.

Both Courtney Kaliszewski, 16, and Cedar Grove Youth Pastor Jeff Trussell, 45, were killed and many others traveling with the church group were sent to the hospital when a Chevy Blazer hit the church van head-on.

Recently released from UT Medical Hospital, Tyler Schaeffer, the 21-year-old driver of the Blazer, was taken into custody by the Sevier County Sheriff’s Department Oct. 22.
