For most children the anticipation of Halloween can rival that of Thanksgiving, Easter, or even Christmas and in Seymour a number of events are focusing on fun and safety for all.One of the more aesthetic in the area is the pumpkin patch at Seymour United Methodist Church.
Located at 107 Simmons Road at visible from Chapman Hwy. the patch started with 1,369 pumpkins for purchase.
“The money raised goes to the children’s ministry,” said volunteer and church member David Manners.
While picking out a soon-to-be jack o’ lantern with his son Mathew, Gary Joseph, said they came to the patch so his son could handpick the pumpkin he liked best.
