Seymour reciever D.J. Griffin fights for more yardage with Cherokee defenders holding on.

The battle of Chapman Highway was all Red and Blue this year as the South-Doyle Cherokees shut out the Seymour Eagles 34-0 on the Eagles home field. To make things worse it was Seymour’s homecoming.
At the half, Ty Wallen was crowned homecoming queen of Seymour High School. She is the daughter of Brent and Kristy Wallen. Kristy Wallen is the principal of Seymour High School.
The first half the Eagles defense stood tall and proud as they held the powerful Cherokee offense to just 7 points. Seymour’s usual high powered offense was shutout however.
