The Sevier County 4-H Meats Judging Team Members recently brought home honors in the Eastern Regional 4-H Meats Judging Team Competition held at Berean Christian School in Knoxville, Tn. The Eastern Region 4-H Judging Events are sponsored by and held in conjunction with the Tennessee Valley Fair each Fall.

The Junior High team placed first and third in the contest.  The first place team included team members Haley Carmichael and Holly McCarter from Sevierville Middle and Christy Newsom and Liberty Wood from Pigeon Forge Middle.  The third place team included Rebecca Burke from Sevierville Middle and Homeschool 4-H members Olivia Browning and Jasman Henderson.

As individuals, Sevier County had five of the top six placing in the Junior High Contest.  Christy Newsom placed first from all individual placing’s.  Other high individuals included Hailey Carmichael, third; Rebecca Burke, fourth; Liberty Wood, fifth; and Holly McCarter, sixth.

Alexis Hall from Gatlinburg Pittman High School represented Sevier County in the Senior Level Contest.  She placed fifteenth high as an individual.
