A project initiated by Knox-Chapman Utility District intended to increase the quality of water use in Seymour has reached the final stages of construction.

The construction, which began in May of this year, was contracted for a 9 month period to Jacobs Engineering Company and could be completed as early as November.

“Site grading and access to the top of the mountain was completed first,” said Jacobs Engineering Company Project Manager David Kiefer. “The water main from the road to the site has been installed.”

Kiefer said the construction of the tank is approximately 60 percent complete.
