While gathering information about Tyler Schaeffer, the man who is suspected of causing the accident off Zion Hill Rd. that resulted in the deaths of Courteney Kaliszewski, 16, of Seymour and Jeff Trussell, 45, of Maryville, a web of government regulations impeded the process.
The initial tip-off came when the Sevier County General Sessions Court stated Schaeffer had not yet been arraigned even though the accident took place nearly one month ago.
This indication meant Schaeffer was most likely still in the hospital or had expired.
While being told by officials at UT Medical Center, the facility Schaeffer was taken to after the accident, the only information that was provide was “there is no information available” about Schaeffer.
