A horse ride and farm party will be held Oct. 13 to benefit the family of Brian Burns and help cover funeral costs.

Burns, who was killed in a motorcycle accident, left behind a young wife and an infant son.

“The guy who hit him didn’t have any insurance, so there is a money issue,” said Barry Montgomery, who is an organizer for the benefit.

The event will raise funds by hosting a 10.5 mile horse ride which will begin on Tarklin Valley R. and Knight Rd. at 10:30 a.m.
