Composting can add health and growth to your plants

Still plenty of time to get those fall plantings completed

Due to popular demand, The City of Maryville will hold another free compost event beginning on Monday, October 8 through Friday, October 12 from 8 AM until 3:30 PM daily. The compost meets all State and Federal Regulations and has been classified as “exceptional quality.”  Four hundred fifty (450) cubic yards of compost were given away during the September event.

It’s a great time of year to use the compost for landscaping, fall gardening and flower planting season. It is rich in nutrients and organic matter, and is great for moisture retention.

Pick-up trucks and small utility trailers are welcome at the Regional Wastewater Treatment Plant located at 4541 Wheeler Road, Louisville, TN 37777 to pick up the free compost. Note, this offer is not for commercial trucks and vendors.
