The preschool ready-to-read story time for the Sevier County Public Library System (SCPLS) continues with October’s monthly theme – I Can Imagine! Visit any branch of the Sevier County Public Library System this month as we read new stories, enjoy crafts, & games for preschool children and their caregivers. During the week of October 15 – 19, the Seymour Branch Library, King Family Library, and Kodak Branch Library will present story time on the following days:
· Seymour Branch Library, 137 W. Macon Lane, Monday, October 15 – I Can Imagine! Visit with Smokey the Bear! Listen to the books, “Baby Bear, Baby Bear, What Do You See?” and “Teddy Bear’s Picnic” during story time with Mr. Spence in Seymour at 11:00 a.m. The color for the month is “pumpkin” orange, the shape is a triangle, and the number for the month is three. · King Family Library, 408 High Street, Sevierville – Thursday, October 18 – I Can Imagine! October is Fire Safety Month – Meet some firefighters from Sevierville Station #2 & Smokey the Bear! Listen to “Contain the Flame” by Jill Urban Donahue with Ms. Vickie at 10:30 a.m. The color for the month is “pumpkin” orange, the shape is a triangle, and the number for the month is three. · Kodak Branch Library, 319 W. Dumplin Valley Road, Kodak – Friday, October 19 – I Can Imagine: Fire Safety with Smokey the Bear during story time with The Puppet Lady today during story time with Ms. Cee at 11:00 a.m. Listen to the books, “Smokey the Fireman,” “Busiest Fireman,” “It’s Fire Drill Day,” and “Daisy the Fire Cow.” Craft Daisy the Fire Cow to take home.
