A 14 year old Seymour juvenile has been charged in connection with shooting a dog with an arrow on Friday Sept. 28th.

Allie, a 6-year-old golden retriever mix, was found at the Speedway Market on Maryville Hwy.  Sept. 28 with an arrow embedded into her side. The dog was taken to Seymour Veterinarian clinic where it was unable to be saved due to its injuries and was ultimately euthanized.

Animal Control officer Phil King investigated the incident and obtained information that a juvenile was seen with a bow and arrow in the same area.

“We had been given information from individuals who had seen somebody with a bow and arrow in the area,” he said.
