The single vehicle wreck with a single female occupant blocked traffic for about an hour.

A single car wreck Friday morning around 9:15 sent one female to LeConte Hospital.

It was a clear day with no precipitation but somehow the female driver of the late model vehicle drove off the right side of the road, couldn’t correct and hit a tree, according to a Sevier County Deputy.

“She received a pretty good hit on the head and will be taken to LeConte Hospital,” stated the deputy. “She was the only occupant.”

Traffic was stopped for about an hour on N. Knob Creek Road which is a narrow two lane.
