Whether it’s a house, road, or commercial building, the construction of most modern structures requires the use of concrete in one form or another.
In an effort to expand their market, Blalock and Sons Construction will begin work on creating a new concrete plant in Seymour.
“This project has been in the planning phase for most of this year, and we expect to begin construction within the next month,” said Blalock Ready Mix Operations Manager Wesley Blalock. “We hope to complete construction in the spring of 2013 and begin concrete production immediately after that”
Blalock said although the actual production of the plant will depend on market demands, the new plant will be capable of producing 100 cubic yards of concrete per production hour.
