While many music-lovers may not have heard of Tauk, they should start listening. Members include Matt Jalbert playing guitar, Charlie Dolan on bass, Alric “A.C.” Carter with keyboards/organ, and Isaac Teel on drums. Natural talent, pure passion, and the fact that each member of this band majored in music helps create an entrancing sound.While each member agrees that showing each other newly understood musical information learned from majoring in music is helpful, their true betterment during college years was gained by learning from musicians better than themselves and having a more complex understanding of the music business as a whole. Also, the creativity inspired from discovery was a necessary aspect to their music.

Another area where Tauk further progressed was recording at Dave Natale’s studio (sound engineer for The Rolling Stones, etc.). Natale helped the band develop their original sound through willingness with whatever Tauk wanted to try. This included constant experimentation, access to instruments they would have otherwise not thought about, and zero time constrictions.

Tauk considers studio time a “commercial for the live show.” Their ultimate focus is feeding off the crowds energy and having the crowd feed off them, thus providing a “symbiotic relationship” formed from a love of music.
