The Seymour golf team didn’t fare well in the District 2-AAA golf tournament recently at The Country Club of Morristown, but they did advance a boy and a girl to the regional tournament as individuals.
Parker Rudder shot 78 for the Eagles, while Camille Davis shot 97 for the Lady Eagles to qualify for the regional tournament.
Trey Myrick, a freshman, shot 83 and tied for the fifth individual qualifier position, but lost in a playoff.
In the boys’ team results, Morristown East won with 328, followed by Jefferson County, South-Doyle and Seymour with 337.
