After a house fire destroyed nearly everything at 601 Maryville Hwy. in late July, construction crews have finally demolished the remains of the structure.

The house that was once home to Dee Long and her two children, was boarded up and condemned after the fire, which occurred in the middle of the night, left the family without a home or possessions.

The construction company C&C Masonry was hired for the demolition.

“It’s a two-day job to knock it down,” owner of C&C Masonry Curtis Ogle said.
