The Sept. 7 All Paws Fundraiser was a success, according to event staff. The funds raised will be able to maintain a nearby non-profit, no-kill animal shelter, Pets Without Parents, through the coming winter.
This year’s event brought in less money than last year in silent auctions, the main source of funds for the event. Last year’s total was $9,300, while this year brought in $7,500. Shelter owner Lori Popp was pleased with the overall gain of $12,000 the event was able to raise.
“It will help us pay bills and pay for kennels,” Popp said. “That money will get us through the winter.”
Of the event itself, Popp said she was “very pleased.”
