As Our Smokies, Our Future has become more active in Sevier County, Rob Bremer and others who disapprove of the organization have become more involved in opposing the process.

Bremer and a group of about 50 others attended the various community forums held by OSOF and questioned the motives of the visionary process. Many of their questions relating to the intentions, funding, and origination of OSOF were met with vague responses, yet Bremer and company held steadfast to their belief that OSOF is part of a United Nations plot to rid the world of private property rights under the guise of sustainable development, a master process called Agenda 21.

“Using precisely the same methods of engineered consensus in the so-called Our Smokies Our Future visioning process as Chattanooga, Knoxville, PlanET, Cookeville, Nashville, Oak Ridge, Signal Mountain, Franklin, Shelby County, and Hamilton County,” Bremer said, “OSOF is inarguably, demonstrably the same Agenda 21 plan as in all of these named Tennessee cities and counties.”
