The Seymour Volunteer Fire Department will reach out to the community for support Sept. 15.
As part of their semi-annual boot drive fundraiser, anywhere from 15 to 20 members of SVFD will be at the intersection of Chapman Hwy. and Boyds Creek collecting donations from the community.
Keeping the tradition of the event alive, contributions will be gathered in fire fighter boots.
“We are setting our goal high this time,” said SVFD Chief Kevin Nunn.
