With an economy in shambles nation-wide, many local businesses that don’t receive the benefit of federal bailouts are feeling the worst of it.
In an effort to soften the blow, U.S. Congressman Phil Roe, who represents Sevier County as part of Tennessee’s First District, met with the Sevier County Chamber of Commerce at a Coffee Talk event Aug. 21.
“I was honored to speak to the Sevierville Chamber,” said Roe. “Our Chambers of Commerce provide an invaluable service to businesses nationwide. I will continue to work to grow our nation’s economy and keep America’s businesses the most competitive in the world.”
At the event, Roe was joined by nearly 150 business leaders from the area.
