While making a darting left turn from Chapman Hwy. to Zion Hill Rd., the driver of an orange pickup truck smashed into a Toyota Land Cruiser that was traveling in the opposite Aug 28.

The accident, which occurred at approximately 3 p.m., also caused a guardrail to become crushed from the resulting impact of the truck.

Serious injuries to the driver of the Land Cruiser as well as to the two passengers were reported by Sevier County Patrol Officer Ryan Cleaveland.

The driver of the pickup, who was at fault according to Cleaveland, was uninjured.
