With nearly any organization, the process of recording data is a decisive factor of success, and Sevier County certainly depends on the accuracy of this responsibility.
Sevier County Register of Deeds Sherry Robertson Huskey has been ensuring the proper recording of multiple forms of data for nearly 40 years.
“The recording process is important to protect public documents in case they are lost or destroyed,” she said. “We have a system of double checks involved because attorneys and legal officials depend on the accuracy of these documents.”
In addition to all of the property deeds for Sevier County, the Register’s office is also responsible for recording deeds of trust, releases, modifications, affidavits, maps, leases, and military records.
