Two days before schools starts can be a trying time for parents, students, teachers and administrators, so to make the transition run smoothly Seymour Primary School held an open house Aug. 14.
The event began with parents and students sitting in the auditorium as Principal Jan Moore and Assistant Principal Melinda Dunlap introduced themselves to the crowd and gave information about the new school year.
“We are here to celebrate our success,” Moore said referring improvements Sevier County Schools was recently recognized for. “I’m excited about this year.”
Moore then encouraged parents to participate in volunteer programs and turned the microphone over to Dunlap.
