The construction of two new buildings near the Papa Murphy’s located at 11516 Chapman Hwy. has caused speculation as to just what is going to be put in place once the project is finished.
“I think it is going to be two consignment shops,” said Genia Zobb, an employee at Papa Murphy’s. “People come in here and ask about it all time. There are rumors AT&T is going to move in from across the street or a Dunkin’ Donuts or a Krispy Cream.”
According to officials from Heartland Development, the developers of the project, next to Papa Murphy’s is still available for rent and the building on the other side will in fact be occupied by Cellular Station, which operations the AT&T store in question.
“We are not sure when we are moving in,” said Katherine Summers, a sales associate for Cellular Station. “We were shooting for Sept. 1, but now it looks like it will probably be mid-September.”
