With the rain and storms moving out just in time, the annual Smoky Mountain Jamboree held at Sevier County High School was another success.
The annual jamboree brings the four Sevier County High School football teams, Seymour, Sevier County, Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg-Pittman, together to play one quarter each.
It didn’t take long for the Seymour Eagles varsity to show they mean business this year as they defeated Gatlinburg-Pittman 21-13 in an offense packed quarter.
The Eagles mounted three scoring drives orchestrated by quarterback Nick Sexton. Two touchdowns were scored off of tosses from Sexton to senior standout receiver D. J. Griffin.
