After erupting in a blaze earlier this year, the house located at 201 Maryville Hwy. was knocked down by crews this week.

“All I know is we are tearing it down,” said Blalock Foreman Teddy Ogle. “I have no clue what is going to happed to the property after.”

Ogle said it took about 10 minutes to demolish the burnt-out structure, but clean-up would be a day-and-a-half project.

A crew member at the site said after ripping down the building trucks are scheduled to haul the debris to a landfill.
