Not every county can be recognized for its accomplishments in education and law enforcement in the same month, but Sevier County’s breed of achievements are proving to be exceptional.
Out of the 95 counties in Tennessee Sevier County Sheriff Ron Seals was selected as the 2012 Sheriff of the Year.
“This is a life long dream of everybody who has ever been a sheriff,” Seals said of the honor. “I was ecstatic and grateful to receive this award.”
The award was issued by the Tennessee Sheriff’s Association during a conference held at Wilderness in Sevierville last week.
